While some congratulated her, others questioned her nationality, arguing that despite her victory, she is Rwandan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A user named Vanessa Kamara, upon seeing footage of the crowning ceremony, commented under an Instagram post by Mbu magazine asking, \u201cMiss Uganda or Miss Rwanda?\u201d Another user, Winnie Renne, sarcastically remarked, \u201cMiss Rwanda in Uganda!\u201d while Farha Eid Monteza went further, claiming that Rwandans have taken over everything in Uganda.<br>She wrote, \u201cRwandans have taken over everything in Uganda just look at those even contesting for seats in parliament.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This sparked a broader debate, with many Ugandans expressing frustration and wondering when a contestant born and raised in Uganda would finally take the crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even members of the judging panel were reportedly puzzled by how a contestant named Muhoza could be competing in Miss Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the first time the Miss Uganda pageant has been marred by controversy linked to Rwanda. The outgoing queen, Natasha Nyonyozi, faced similar claims, while Hannah Karema, who won in 2023, was also accused of being Rwandan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, pageant organizers and those close to the competition insist that as long as a contestant meets the requirements, heritage should not be a barrier.
