The court also sentenced him to <strong>three months of community service<\/strong>, which was <strong>suspended for six months<\/strong>.The verdict was delivered on <strong>Monday, May 4, 2026<\/strong>, following several hearings during which the court reviewed evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defense in the case involving the well-known Rwandan entertainer.According to the court\u2019s ruling, DJ Toxxyk was convicted of several offenses, including <strong>manslaughter<\/strong>, <strong>fleeing the scene after causing a traffic accident<\/strong>, <strong>suspected involvement in drug-related activities<\/strong>, and <strong>refusing to undergo an alcohol test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its judgment, the court stated that the accused must pay the <strong>Rwf1.5 million fine<\/strong> and serve <strong>three months of community service<\/strong>. However, the community service sentence was suspended for a period of <strong>six months<\/strong>. The court also ordered his <strong>immediate release<\/strong>, noting that he had already spent time in <strong>pre-trial detention at Nyarugenge Correctional Facility<\/strong> since his arrest. DJ Toxxyk was arrested on <strong>December 21, 2025<\/strong>, following a <strong>traffic accident that occurred in the early hours of December 20, 2025<\/strong>, in which a <strong>police officer on duty was killed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigations indicated that after causing the accident, the suspect <strong>left the scene<\/strong> before later being <strong>arrested in Karongi District<\/strong>. During the investigation, security authorities also conducted a search at his residence, where substances suspected to be <strong>illegal drugs<\/strong> were reportedly discovered.
