With this victory, she earned the honor of representing Tanzania at the global Miss Universe 2025 pageant.

As part of her prize package, Naisae received a brand-new Hyundai vehicle and a cash award of 10 million Tanzanian shillings (equivalent to more than 5 million Rwandan francs).

Beyond her striking beauty, Naisae is an accomplished entrepreneur and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics. She is the founder of several businesses, including NEY HAIR, Forever Frames TZ X SA, NEY Homes, and Bladed-Shaded. Through these ventures, she has empowered young women and youth by promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

Her advocacy work focuses on equipping young women—particularly those from vulnerable communities with the tools to pursue self-employment, develop financial literacy, and build confidence in their own abilities rather than depending solely on external support.

Outside her professional life, Naisae enjoys cultural and recreational activities such as training, cooking, and traveling. She believes these hobbies help her stay grounded and connect more deeply with people.

She attributes much of her success to her mother, Lulu Makoi, whom she describes as her greatest inspiration.

“My mother is my biggest source of strength. Her dedication to hard work and perseverance is the greatest weapon that has helped me achieve so much,” Naisae said.

Naisae is now the second mother in Tanzania’s history to win the Miss Universe Tanzania crown, following Judith Ngusa, who made history in 2024.

This achievement comes after a groundbreaking decision by the Miss Universe Organization in August 2022, which allowed married women and mothers to compete in the pageant beginning with the 72nd edition in 2023.

With her crown secured, Naisae Yona is set to be among the most anticipated contestants at the 74th Miss Universe competition, scheduled for November 21, 2025, in Thailand. The global pageant will bring together contestants from more than 120 countries.

Author: Justinmind HARERIMANA

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images
