Honestly, the only way I coped was by distracting myself\u2014crying often\u2014and while I was with Sam and we got married, it felt like a form of escape to get through it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The star, best known for hits such as <em>Gimme More<\/em> and <em>Toxic<\/em>, added that she now feels she is finally beginning to heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m healing because I have an appetite again, like a child. When I eat, it feels like the first time I\u2019ve ever eaten in my life. I thank Jesus for keeping me strong, because now I\u2019m learning to say \u2018no,\u2019 to fight for my life, and to show people who I truly am,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spears married Sam Asghari in June 2022 in a star-studded wedding. However, by August 2023, Asghari filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
