{"id":943,"date":"2025-09-11T16:15:34","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T16:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/africadiplomacy.net\/?p=943"},"modified":"2025-09-11T16:15:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T16:15:35","slug":"kinshasa-airport-staff-accused-of-stranding-tshisekedis-plane-detained","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/africadiplomacy.net\/?p=943","title":{"rendered":"Kinshasa: Airport Staff Accused of Stranding Tshisekedi\u2019s Plane Detained"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Security forces in Kinshasa have detained several employees of Ndjili International Airport in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) over allegations that they deliberately stranded President F\u00e9lix Tshisekedi\u2019s plane in midair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presidential aircraft, <em>DRC001<\/em>, carrying President Tshisekedi, entered Kinshasa airspace on the night of September 10\u201311, 2025, following a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the head of the Civil Aviation Authority (RVA), Ngoma Mbaki L\u00e9onard, a sudden power outage struck the airport as the plane approached.
