Uwitonze Clementine, popularly known as Tonzi in gospel music, has been awarded a Master’s degree in Theology from Gate Breakers University in Uganda.
The graduation took place over the past weekend, marking the fulfillment of what Tonzi described as a lifelong dream. She explained that from a young age, she had envisioned pursuing theological studies.
Before this milestone, Tonzi had completed her undergraduate studies in Economic Sciences and Management at ULK in 2008. Earlier, in 2000, she had graduated from APACE secondary school with a concentration in Commerce and Accounting.
Speaking to IGIHE after receiving her degree, Tonzi expressed heartfelt joy:
“I am very happy because this was not an easy journey, balancing studies with other responsibilities. It has always been a dream of mine, and now it has come true. I am deeply grateful.”
Widely known for songs such as Humura, Tonzi said her studies have equipped her with valuable knowledge that will enrich her daily life and her spiritual mission of guiding and supporting others.
This academic achievement comes shortly after she released her first book, An Open Jail, and as she finalizes preparations to launch her 10th music album.
