President Kagame Holds High-Level Talks with Members of His Advisory Council
President Paul Kagame on Tuesday morning chaired a strategic meeting of the Presidential Advisory Council (PAC) a consultative platform that brings together distinguished Rwandan and international experts to exchange ideas and provide insights on Rwanda’s sustainable development and long-term vision.
The session, held at Kigali Golf Club, focused on exploring innovative strategies to accelerate the country’s socio-economic transformation, enhance citizens’ well-being, and address pressing challenges affecting both Rwanda and the broader global community.
During the discussions, members analyzed key issues ranging from economic growth, technology and innovation, education, and governance, to Rwanda’s role in fostering peace and stability within the East African region and beyond.
Among the distinguished participants were Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF); Dr. Donald Kaberuka, an economist and former President of the African Development Bank; Dr. Joseph Nsengimana, Rwanda’s Minister of Education; and Paula Ingabire, Minister of ICT and Innovation. Other Rwandan experts from the private sector, academia, and international organizations also took part.
President Kagame emphasized the importance of collaborative problem-solving and forward-thinking leadership, noting that the council’s insights continue to play a crucial role in shaping Rwanda’s policies and strategies for inclusive growth. He highlighted the need to remain innovative and resilient amid global uncertainties such as climate change, economic shifts, and evolving geopolitical dynamics.
The PAC, which has been active for several years, serves as an invaluable platform for strategic dialogue between the Head of State and experienced thought leaders. Through its deliberations, it contributes to formulating visionary policies that align with Rwanda’s national priorities and aspirations under Vision 2050.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from members to continue working closely with the government to support Rwanda’s transformation journey ensuring that the country remains a model of progress, innovation, and good governance on the African continent.
