Journalist Paul Rutikanga and his girlfriend Uwera Caroline have officially entered into a civil marriage.
The ceremony took place on June 26, 2025, at the Remera Sector Office in Gasabo District.
Following the event, Paul Rutikanga shared his happiness with his followers on social media, expressing pride in taking a legal step to solidify his love for Uwera.
He wrote, “We didn’t just sign a paper; we chose a life of love, generosity, and progress that will accompany us forever. We celebrated with our families, who prayed for us. We have a purpose that gives us strength. Our eternity begins today.”
The couple formalized their relationship according to Rwandan law after Rutikanga presented Uwera with a love ring in May and asked her to be his wife. Their upcoming wedding celebration is scheduled for August 29, 2025.
Paul Rutikanga is a renowned journalist who has worked with various media outlets, including Rwanda Television. He is currently the Director of Partnerships at the Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA).
