Rwandan singer Butera Knowless received a heartfelt surprise from Sherrie Silver and children supported by her foundation during rehearsals for the upcoming Silver Gala event, set to take place in early November.
The surprise happened on Friday, October 3, 2025, while Knowless was rehearsing for the highly anticipated Silver Gala, where she is scheduled to perform on November 1, 2025. The gesture came just days after her 34th birthday, which she celebrated on October 1.
Speaking to IGIHE after the surprise, Knowless shared her joy and gratitude for being remembered by the children of the Sherrie Silver Foundation. “They really got me! I tried to hold back my tears like people say ‘let them fall inside’ but they truly surprised me, and it made me so happy,” she said. “That’s what a real surprise means to be thought of unexpectedly. I’m so grateful. May God bless them.”
The Silver Gala, now in its second edition, was first held in 2024 and has since grown into one of Rwanda’s most glamorous charity events. This year’s edition has been relocated to BK Arena from its previous venue at the Kigali Convention Centre.
The star-studded lineup will include performances from Butera Knowless, Massamba Intore, Ross Kana, Chriss Eazy, Sherrie Silver, and the Sherrie Silver Foundation troupe.
The event will also feature Ugo Mazie, a renowned celebrity stylist known for dressing international stars such as Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, and Celine Dion.
Ticket prices reflect the exclusive nature of the gala: standard table seating costs 120,000 RWF per person, while a full table package goes for 1,000,000 RWF. VIP table seats are 130,000 RWF per person, with full VIP tables priced at 1,200,000 RWF.
Organized by the Sherrie Silver Foundation, the event aims to raise funds to support underprivileged children under the foundation’s care.
