Rwandan music star The Ben stunned fans with a surprise appearance at T Paul’s concert in Kampala on August 22, 2025, dispelling speculation that he had traveled to the Ugandan capital to support Sheebah Karungi, his collaborator on the hit song Binkolera.
That evening, Kampala was the stage for two major events: Sheebah held her comeback concert at the Serena Hotel after maternity leave, while T Paul performed at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. The Ben electrified the crowd at T Paul’s show with his unexpected performance.
Sources told Africa Diplomacy that organizers of T Paul’s concert had specifically invited The Ben to surprise fans, partly to prevent him from attending Sheebah’s concert, which could have drawn a large Rwandan community living in Uganda.
The performance came just days after the abrupt postponement of The Ben’s Kigali concert, Music in Space, which was canceled due to the illness of its lead organizer.
Following his Kampala appearance, The Ben is scheduled to perform in the United Kingdom on August 29, 2025.
