DJ Alisha Sparks Debate After Sharing Bikini Photos Months After Baptism

Rwandan-born, Uganda-based entertainer DJ Alisha has once again become the subject of public debate after sharing bikini photos on social media, just months after openly declaring her commitment to Christianity and undergoing baptism.

Earlier this year, Alisha announced that she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, describing the decision as the beginning of a new chapter in her life. She soon followed it with baptism, publicly acknowledging that she had battled temptations such as lust and alcohol but had resolved to abandon them in pursuit of a righteous life.

At the time, she posted a heartfelt testimony, writing:

“I lived in lust and drunkenness, constantly betraying myself until I felt completely lost in this world. But like a loving parent, God never let go of me. He kept reaching out to me, and though I tried to find comfort elsewhere, He later showed me that true peace and rest can only be found in Him (Jesus).”

She continued:

“I was ashamed of the life I had lived and the person I had become. I remember kneeling in my room, crying out for God to rescue me—and He did. He transformed me into a new person. I know this journey will not be easy, but I believe that He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. I thank God for showing me His mercy.”

Following her baptism, Alisha embraced what appeared to be a more modest lifestyle. She began dressing conservatively and deleted old photos and videos that showed her in revealing outfits or engaging in nightlife activities she believed conflicted with her new Christian values.

However, her latest social media activity has reignited controversy. She not only shared new bikini photos but also returned to performing in nightclubs—moves that many interpret as a departure from the spiritual path she had committed to earlier in the year.

The development has triggered intense online discussions. While critics accuse her of wavering in her faith, others argue that spiritual growth is a gradual journey often marked by struggles, setbacks, and personal transformation.
