Green P Hands Over Joint Album Project to Jay C

After collaborating on the song “Ikaye” and confirming plans to release a joint album titled “Gen-Z”, Jay C has revealed that Green P officially handed over the project to him.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with IGIHE, Jay C explained that the album, which already has its first single released, will now solely belong to him.

He stated:
“I’m bringing out my album. We had a discussion and agreed that it would be mine alone. Of course, the songs we did together remain on it, but it is now my project. I’m also adding tracks with other artists as well as my solo work.”

Jay C confirmed that he and Green P had mutual discussions and reached an agreement that the songs they created together would remain part of the album, but ownership rests with him.

“We sat down and made that decision. So what you need to know is that the album is mine. It will have 10 tracks, including collaborations with Green P, other artists, and my own solo songs,” he clarified.

When asked by a journalist about what it took to secure full ownership of the project—an album he previously said was a collaboration with Green P—Jay C declined to disclose details.

Apart from his newly released single “Oh Dieuh”, Jay C announced that he plans to steadily release the rest of the songs throughout 2025, with the goal of having the entire album out before the year ends.
