Nigerian music star Yemi Alade has announced that, starting October 1, 2025, her makeup brand Yem Beauty will officially be available on the Rwandan market.
The singer is currently in Rwanda, where she was among the special guests at the 20th edition of the Kwita Izina gorilla naming ceremony. She named a baby gorilla Kundwa and expressed her excitement about the experience of visiting the mountain gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park.
Yemi Alade officially unveiled her Yem Beauty makeup collection in August 2025.
Recognized as one of Africa’s top female artists, Yemi Alade has built a strong career in music since she began in 2005.
Born Yemi Eberechi Alade on March 13, 1989, she is now 36 years old. She rose to fame with hit songs such as Johnny, Oh My Gosh, Shekere, Ferrari, and Na Gode, among others.
She is the daughter of James Alade, a former police commissioner in Ondo State, and Helen Uzoma, originally from Abia State.
