Bruno K Criticizes Journalists Who Linked Him to Gogo’s Death

Ugandan musician Bruno K, currently in Rwanda to attend the funeral of his close friend Musabyimana Gloriose, popularly known as Gogo, has spoken out against claims tying him to her death.

Following Gogo’s passing, some journalists and social media users in Uganda alleged that Bruno K had overworked her, suggesting this contributed to her death.

Speaking during an interview on Royal FM, Bruno K dismissed the accusations, stressing that his role was to support Gogo’s career, not exploit her.

“These are lies being spread by people back home who dislike me and are pushing their own agendas,” he said. “When I welcomed Gogo, nobody told me she was sick or had any problem. I only tried to help her gain recognition because I genuinely cared about her.”

Bruno K further claimed that a group of journalists and social media influencers have been deliberately working to damage his reputation in Rwanda by portraying him as responsible for Gogo’s death.

What pained him most, he added, was the hypocrisy of some of those making such claims.

“These are the same people who never supported Gogo while she was alive,” he explained. “When she needed them, they ignored her. But after her death, they are suddenly acting like they loved her so much.”

Bruno K has been in Rwanda since September 8, 2025, where he joined family, friends, and fellow artists in paying final respects to Gogo.
